Art Nouveau Silver Plate & Mahogany Shelf clock c.1910

An absolute pure Nouveau clock in the typical 'Glasgow Style' from the Macintosh period.  The front panel  has an intricate foliage design in silver plated epns on a mahogany case. The metal dial is 70mm in diameter and is in very good condition.  The clock is 24 cm high (240 mm) x 7.3 cm (73mm) deep and in good original condition and working order.  The 30 hour movement has a new mainspring and balance.   This is a rare clock of the period.

A very fine French Brass Portico clock with an 8 day movement c. 1890.  It has just been cleaned and serviced and is in very good condition and working order.  It has an enamel dial (84 mm in diameter) has a minute barely visible age mark near the centre.  The clock is 23 cm high x 13.5 cm wide x 8.5 cm deep.  There are several small dings in the silver plate which do not detract from the overall look of this wonderful clock.

This clock has an unusual provenance as the fine mahogany case was made from the wood of the Spanish Battleship 'Vittoria' which was dismantled in 1912.  It has a fine quality French mechanical 8 day movement in good working order.  The case is in good condition and is 21.5 cm high x 14.5 cm wide x 8.5 cm deep. The enamel dial is 8.7 cm in diameter and is in very good condition.

This is a quality French clock in good condition and working order.  It has a fine mahogany case with 2 brass pillars and a white enamel dial which is in excellent condition.  The clock is 35.5 cm wide x 24 cm high x 14.3 cm deep and the enamel dial is 12.7 cm in diameter.  The striking pendulum movement has a makers mark and "Made in France" with the numbers 70838.  The clock comes with a key.

This is a classic clock in all original condition.  The enamel dial is 8.2 cm and is in very good all original condition.  The oak case is 30.2 cm high x 14 cm deep x 21.3 cm wide.  The movement and the gong support both have the crossed arrows trademark of the Hamburg American Clock Company or HAC. The pendulum movement strikes on the hour and 1/2 hour.

HAC was formed in Germany in 1873 by Paul Landenberger and Phillip Lang. The initial company was known as Landenberger & Lang Uhrenfabrik.  Landenberger was the son-in-law of Erhard Junghans and worked at Junghans for some years before starting up his company. His company was involved in the production of clock movements, clock parts, dials and cases for all types of clocks. The company changed it's name to Hamburg Amerikanische Uhrenfabrik and Hamburg American Clock Company (HAC) in 1883. The famous crossed arrows became their trademark in 1892 at which time the company started producing clocks such as mantle clocks, longgcase clocks, wall clocks, ships clocks and specialized industrial clocks. These clocks were mainly for export to particularly to Great Britain and North America. They also continued supplying decorative parts for example: dials, cases, spare parts and hardware for the clock industry. The company was a major producer of clocks in Germany. In 1930 they merged with Junghans.

A arch style mantle clock with unusual dial in good condition and working order.  It has a French movement with the number 4922 and a mark 'Médaille d'Argent'.  It strikes on the hour and on the half hour.  The clock is 25.5 cm high x 19.5 cm wide x 12.5 cm deep.  The metal dial with white enamel in the center is 11.7 cm in diameter, including the bezel it is 14.5 cm in diameter.  The clock comes with a key.  There is a slight blemish in the glass at the hinge.  It weighs 2.5 kilos.

A superbly made Franklin Mint mechanical clock striking on the hour & half hour.  It is in very good all original condition with original key and comes with the original Certificate of Authenticity.  The clock was designed by Conrad Franz.  It has a beautiful walnut case 36.5 cm high x 27 cm wide x 11 cm deep. The clock weighs 2.5 kgs.

A small French 8 day mahogany cased shelf clock in good condition and working order.  It is 21 cm x 13 cm high x 7.2 cm deep.  The enamel dial is signed "8 days, French Make" and is 8 cm in diameter. It has a small line between the 1 and 2 which is hardly noticeable to the naked eye.  The lever movement is signed "Bayard, 8 Day lever movement, Made in France".

This is a superb Westminster chime pure Deco clock in good condition and working order.  It has a Junghans movement with the Junghans logo on the dial and on the movement.  The clock chimes on the quarter and on the hour.  The light mahogany case is beautifully inlaid with a pure Art Deco design.  The dial is 14.5 cms,  it is slightly marked from age as can be seen in the pictures.  The clock is 32 cms x 15 cms deep x 23 cms high.  The clock weighs 3.3 kilos.

A rare Junghans 8 day pendulum mantle clock in good all original condition.  The fine mahogany case is 33 cm high including the pineapple finial x 16 cm wide.  The dial is 6 cm in diameter, it has some fading from age and a small age mark in the centre which does not detract from the overall look of the clock.  It has a superb pendulum as can be seen in the pictures. This is a superb example of an early BHA torsion clock.  It was probably made by Gustav Becker and has an unusual and rare early two tone metal dial.  This clock is in good all original condition and good working order and is keeping good time.  It has just been fully cleaned and serviced. The movement has the initials BHA representing B.H. Abrahams (1839-1902) famous maker of  music boxes. It has the number 2070850.  It is 32 cm high including the dome.
