The front panel has an intricate foliage design in silver plated epns on a mahogany case. The metal dial is 70mm in diameter and is in very good condition. The clock is 24 cm high (240 mm) x 7.3 cm (73mm) deep and in good original condition and working order. The 30 hour movement has a new mainspring and balance. This is a rare clock of the period. It has an 8 day movement and keeps excellent time. The chromed case is 14.5 cm high x 23 cm wide x 6.3 cm deep with a burr walnut front . The dial is 8.5 cm in diameter. The clock has the inscription 'July 29th 1933 to Jenny Johnston on her marriage with best wishes from Mark Mayhew' Price: £295 In the 1920s Smiths began to aquire an interest in the English Jaeger Company. Jaeger was a manufacturer of clocks, watches, speedometers and other instruments and held exclusive licences to make some of these items under patents belonging to Etablissements Ed. Jaeger S.A., Paris, an associate company. The two Jaeger companies, the French and the English, were owned by a number of French and Swiss nationals and companies. In 1928 A.B.E.C. Ltd. (All British Escapements Company) was formed to manufacture escapements for Smiths and Jaeger car clocks.

It has a fine mahogany case with 2 brass pillars and a white enamel dial which is in excellent condition. The clock is 35.5 cm wide x 24 cm high x 14.3 cm deep and the enamel dial is 12.7 cm in diameter. The striking pendulum movement has a makers mark and "Made in France" with the numbers 70838. 	w247c	HAC Mantle Clock in Oak Case c.1902 This is a classic clock in all original condition. The enamel dial is 8.2 cm and is in very good all original condition. The oak case is 30.2 cm high x 14 cm deep x 21.3 cm wide. The movement and the gong support both have the crossed arrows trademark of the Hamburg American Clock Company or HAC. The pendulum movement strikes on the hour and 1/2 hour. Price: £250 HAC was formed in Germany in 1873 by Paul Landenberger and Phillip Lang. The initial company was known as Landenberger & Lang Uhrenfabrik. Landenberger was the son-in-law of Erhard Junghans and worked at Junghans for some years before starting up his company. His company was involved in the production of clock movements, clock parts, dials and cases for all types of clocks. The company changed it's name to Hamburg Amerikanische Uhrenfabrik and Hamburg American Clock Company (HAC) in 1883. The famous crossed arrows became their trademark in 1892 at which time the company started producing clocks such as mantle clocks, longgcase clocks, wall clocks, ships clocks and specialized industrial clocks. These clocks were mainly for export to particularly to Great Britain and North America. They also continued supplying decorative parts for example: dials, cases, spare parts and hardware for the clock industry. The company was a major producer of clocks in Germany. In 1930 they merged with Junghans.

	w593c	The New Haven Clock Co. Banjo Wall Clock c. Early 1900s A New Haven Clock Co. Banjo clock in good condition and working order. The back has the original sticker explaining how to set the clock and wind the 8 day movement. The name of this particular clock seems to be 'Winsome'. It has a mahogany case and is 62 cm high (24.5") x 22 cm wide (8¾"). The replacement dial is 13 cm in diameter. The painted scene is of the Whitehouse surrounded by trees and is in good condition some parts have detached from the glass as can be seen in the pictures. The movement has the New Haven Clock Co. logo and the #334. It is unusual to find the painting of the White House.
