A beautifully designed set using John Lennon's drawings. The plate is 23.4 cm x 14.7 cm and the set is mint and boxed.  Made by Coalport (Wedgewood) for it's 'Characters' range.  This set was discontinued some years ago.

John Lennon was may things to many people: singer, songwriter, poet and political activist.  To his son Sean Lennon he was his Daddy, a role he took on with as much humour, intensity and enthusiasm as any he had tackled.  When John and Sean played together they would often draw pictures like the ones featured in this wonderful set.  It was the way John taught Sean about the simple joys of creativity.  It was also one of the many ways he was able to express his real love for his son.

This is a superb metal model of a Jaguar XK 120 with a clock set in the roof.  It is 16.5 cm long in excellent new condition.  It is a fabulous Jaguar collectible based on the Jaguar XK 120 which had a straight 63442cc engine, 160 bhp at 5000rpm.  It usually had manual transmission.  The chassis was made in a box section and the suspension was independent front and leaf spring in the rear.  Breaks were hydraulic drum and the top speed was 200 km/h.

This is an interesting metal sculpture portraying Don Quixote de la Mancha.  It is signed and dated 'Gabriel 2001' and is in very good condition.  It stands 12.5 cm high x 12 cm x 8 cm deep.

This is an amusing porcelain figure of a bulldog with an ashtray on his back.  He is in good all original condition.  The figure is 5.7 cm high x 9.5 cm long x 8 cm wide.  The image on the ashtray is of Barry Island, gardens, promenade and beach.  Probably made in Japan.

A wonderful stylised pure Deco white cat sitting on a cigarette holder/ashtray.  In excellent condition, marked 'Made in Japan' on the base.  It is 7.7 cm high x 8.5 cm deep.

A porcelain road sign in excellent condition.  Pointing to John O'Groats 872 from Land's End.  It is 9 cm high.

This is a humorous set of salt and pepper shakers, probably made in Japan.  They are in the shape of two outside toilets with the writing on the doors "C I'M FULL OF P" and "C I'M FULL OF S".  The pepper has a hairline crack around the sides and back which does not detract. They both have replacement plastic stoppers.  They are 6.4 cm high x 5 cm wide x 4.2 cm deep.

This is a fabulous porcelain decanter in good all original condition.  It has the names of newspapers such as "Point de Vue Images du Monde, Paris Match, Daily Express, France-Soir, Le Figaro, Revue, The Daily Telegraph and ABC".  It is 26 cm high including the stopper.   The stopper has gold plated trim.

A lucky bisque black cat with green eyes and a couple of whiskers.  He has his back up and seems to be hissing.  He is 8.7 cm high x approx. 9.5 cm long in good condition.

A set of 6 hunting theme cocktail mats in their original box, unused c.1950s.  The mats have small raised dots so that the glass does not scratch the picture.  The mats are 9.1 cm in diameter and made in England of hard plastic.

Metal Panel on Marble

This is a superb antique brass and metal panel on green marble.  The panel is superb with the scene of "The Last Supper" by Leonardo Da Vinci.  It is 9.6 cm x 7 cm.  The marble back is 13.1 cm x 10.5 cm x 1 cm thick and is on a brass plate with brass stand.  Surrounding "La Cene" are cherubs.  There are  5 chips in the marble which do not detract from the overall beauty of this finest quality item

This is a superb and delicate glass raindrop 14 cms long with a lovely fairy in silver metal holding onto it.  The fairy is 4.6 cms long.  It is a hanging ornament which looks wonderful in the sunlight.  Made in England.

A metal frog sitting on a rock of Serpentine in good all original condition.  The frog is in wonderful detail.  The whole paperweight is 8.5 cm high with the frog being 3.5 cm high.

This is a superb large frog with a baby frog on it's back.  The detail is amazing on this Netsuke.  It is 5.5 cms x 4.8 cms in excellent condition.

A superb Netsuke with 2 frogs on a leaf,  the underside shows a worm.  It is in excellent condition.  It is 5.3 cms x 3.2 cms.  It has a wonderful patina to it.  There us a signature on the base.

The crystal flask is in perfect condition, the leather case has some staining but is in very good condition. The cup has a dent (as you can see in the picture). It is 15.5cms x 8.25cms x 4.5 cms. This flask is made in England.

This is a fascinating plate showing the 51 States + 3 unincorporated territories.  Made by Parksmith Corp. N.Y.C. Made in Japan.  It has the original sticker on the back.  The plate is 27.5 cms,  in good condition.  There is a slight knick on the right of the eagle as can be seen in the pictures and the edge has been slightly restored. 

"UNITED STATES OF AMERICAN, FOR LIFE LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS,  IN GOD WE TRUST".

This is an amazing find! A pure retro tray in excellent near mint all original condition.  It is 42.5 cms x 22 cms with a formica base and plated nylon thread around the edge which includes the handle with 8 red beads on either side.  There are the recipes for:  Bloody Mary, White Lady Cocktail, Manhattan Cocktail, Martini Cocktail, Sidecar Cocktail and Prairie Oyster Cocktail.

This is a wonderful Deco Glass dish on a metal stand.  A dancer is dancing on the base of the dish.  It is in good all original condition.  The glass dish is in perfect condition, the stand has some nicks in the paint and has been slightly pushed in behind the dancer but this does not detract from the look of this  wonderful item. The glass plate is 20.5 cm in diameter. The stand is 17.5 cm high, the dancer is 9 cm high.

In very good condition,  he has a wonderful look,  bright eyed!  He is hollow with 2 holes at the base on the back,  7 small holes on the top of his head and a circular pattern of holes at the back of his neck.  His eyes have holes where his irises should be.  There is a number on the base.  He is 11.8 cms high x 11.8 cms long x 8 cms deep.  Probably of German make and could be from and earlier period.

This is "Navvy Chimp", he is in very good all original condition.  He is 12.3 cms high in thick hard plastic.  This was made at the height of the Brooke Bond PG Tips Television advertising campaign.

Scottie Dogs Book-Ends c.1930's

These are fabulous book-ends from the 1930's. Made of wood, the 2 scotties have very realistic celluloid eyes. The scottie on the right has had his tail slightly shortened and the scottie on the left has had a little accident with his left ear which seems to be slightly shorter that the other ear. These little flaws do not detract from the great look of these book-ends.

This absolutely adorable scottie dog in carved in wood and has real glass eyes. He sits there looking up with his fabulous eyes and is just gorgeous! He is 8.7 cms high to the tip of his ear. He has a slight chip on his tail which does not detract from his overall look.

This is a most unusual and humorous pig pulling a chamber pot with "Gentlemen" written on it.  Probably for tooth picks.  He has wonderful "googly" type eyes.  It is in very good all original condition.  7.5 cms long x 5.4 cms high.

This is a fabulous cruet set.  The salt and pepper and 2 brightly coloured toucans in good condition.  The 'mustard' pot is a dutch girl,  the lid is from her waist.  Unfortunately,  the lid has been broken and repaired as can be seen in the pictures.  The tray is 16.3 cms (including the handles) x 6.5 cms.  The Toucans are 5.5 cms high and the girl is 9 cms high.

A 1940s pair of wooden bookends portraying two elephants with their trunks up in the air.  They each have an ivory tusk and are in good all original condition.  They are 15.7 cm high x 11 cm long x 6.6 cm deep.

This is a pair of the cutest little puppies both wearing a 'tammy' and made in terracotta.  They  have the cutest faces with tongues hanging out and look very happy.  They are approximately  6.3 cms high in good condition,  one is slightly larger than the other.  Some scuffs in the paint which does not detract.

This black figure is wearing a white turban with a fabulous orange feather in front.  He is 8.6 cms high.  He is in excellent condition with his original stopper.

This is a fabulous cruet set in good condition, both have their original corks. He is 7.7 cms high, she is 7.5 cms high. He has a sligh surface crack along his right side and she has a small surface crack on her cap as the pictures show. These do not detract from the figures which still have their fabulous colors.

This is a fabulous coffee mug in excellent condition.  It has real gold plating and says "United States Naval Academy" at the top and bottom of the cup.  The pictures say it all.  It is from mid 1980's.  This is the real thing,  not a reproduction item.

This is a wonderful unused thermal jug and 6 tumblers set in the original box.  Made in Hong Kong,  "Thermal double wall,  scientifically constructed,  keep drinks hot or cold, shock resistant".  The design is of drinks adverts in wonderfully bright colours.  The jug is 22 cms high (24 cms incl. lid) and the tumblers are 13.5 cms high.  This set is in mint unused condition,  the box is 6/10.  The whole boxed set weighs 1.6kg.
