A fantastic book by Mrs. Ernest Ames, author of "The Tremendous Twins" - London: Grant Richards. The book is in fair condition, complete with 24 pictures. A few of the pages have small tears which do not detract from the lithographs which are in very good conditions. The book is 31.5 cms x 25 cms.

This is a First Edition, hard cover, landscape format, foolscap size book with a full-page black & white photo on every page. It is a wonderful of late Victorian scenes, mostly of London but also of many of places such as Windsor and Windsor Castle. It is in fair to good condition,  the spine has been torn in several places and reglued which does not detract from the rarity and interest of the book.  The pages are tight and complete.  There are a couple of very small rips at the edge of the 1st page.  The edges are rubbed and worn.  This book is a magnificent pictorial and descriptive record of London and environs with the streets, buildings, parks and scenery of this great metropolis just before the turn of the century.  It has 370 pages and is 30.6 cms x 24 cms and weighs approx. 2.3 kgs.

Fifield 1908.  This is a first separate edition of an essay which was first published in the "Albany Review" (later editions are noted as such)  The cover is stained from age with worn edges.  The book is in good condition.  There are 40 pages,  20 cms x 13.5 cms.

This is an extremely interesting atlas of Tudor England and Wales.  There are 40 plates from John Speed's pocket atlas of 1627 introduced and described by E.G.R. Taylor and published by Penguin Books.  The intricately detailed coloured maps of the counties of England and Wales have been reproduced with the original spelling of the various places.  The book is in very good condition with dust cover which has slightly yellowed at the top.  There are 32 pages of explanations and 40 coloured plates.

This is a fascinating book by Reginald Ross Williamson.  It has 34 pages of text and 20 coloured plates from "A History of the University of Cambridge,  its Colleges, Halls and Public Buildings 1815".  Published by Penguin Books Ltd.   It is in very good condition with dust cover which has a small tear at the base.

This is a very interesting and informative children's book on the basic history of Britain.  Published by Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd.,  Fine Art Publishers to their Majesties the King and Queen and to Her Majesty Queen Mary.  The book is 21 cms x 13.5 cms with 32 pages.  There is a coloured on each page.  The description of the contents is:

There are several interesting ads including one for Smiths watches and Whiteleys "England's Original Department Store".   It is in good condition with slight scuffing at both ends of the spine.

A fascinating book and of great interest to designers.  It is hardback with dust cover (a small tear at the bottom which has been repaired) published in the U.K. 1976.  There are 128 pages with photographs and designs on nearly every page.  The book is 22 cms x 25 cms.  There are wonderful colour pictures of the fabrics used for her superb evening gowns.

Royalty Cut-out Books -  Published by Burke Publishing Co. Ltd. London c.1950's.  This is a fabulous book in excellent unused condition.  The front cover is slightly marked but this does not detract from the overall look of this fascinating book.  There is the history of the Order of the Garter with pictures of the insignia of the Garter at the beginning of book and 4 pages of cut-outs of the knights,  the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and other great and famous men walk in procession from a service in St. George's Chapel, Windsor.  The book is 28 cms x 22.5 cms.

This is a superb unused Scottish calendar from 1940 in excellent condition.  The little boy in his kilt with his little black scottie dog are in "3D" and there is real wool on the spurn.  The top part of the calendar is 23.7 cms x 15.5 cms,  the actual small calendar is 6 cms x 9 cms.  William Allan Stationer,  Dunfermline,  Calendars,  Made is GT. A wonderful hard cover book with dust cover.  First Edition 1941.  By Eric Parker with 12 plates in colour and 17 illustrations in black and white.  Published for Penns in the Rocks Press by William Collins of London 1941.  The chapters describe Hunting, shooting, fishing, racing, cricket, football (rugger, soccer), rowing, fencing, ice-hockey, lawn tennis etc. etc. etc... in 48 pages.  The book is 23 cms x 17 cms, in good condition with a little scuffing at either end of the spine.  The colour plates are superb!
